Dr. Marc S. Haro is an ABOS-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy or minimally invasive surgery. He has an interest in all sports or activity-related injuries; in particular complex knee injuries, knee ligament injuries, cartilage disorders, as well as shoulder injuries.

He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, graduated from a residency in orthopaedics at the University of Virginia, and completed the prestigious sports medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago.

Dr. Haro’s “on the field” experience includes working with the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox, as well as the athletic departments of Purdue University, University of Virginia, James Madison University, DePaul University and Wabash College. He is the author of numerous journal articles and medical textbook chapters reporting on his findings in basic science and clinical research.

Dr Haro previously worked at MUSC In Charleston and after a few years of practice at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, he decided to bring his family home to Mt. Pleasant.
